The Guerilla Film Competition was created as an event where your filmmaking skills will be put to the test. You will not have a budget, and you won't have a script. You will be given your subject the morning of the competition, and make a movie based around that subject. You will be given ten hours (8am-6pm) to film, and edit your project on camera as you go. You must be finished by 6pm, being late will result in your disqualification (No Exceptions). Your finished film will run no longer than 5 minutes. This competition is focused on the directors skills as a filmmaker thus making him/her fully responsible for the final outcome. The director will not be allowed to take part in their film, and are not allowed to use a crew in the process (the director is fully responsible for the look of the film). All films will be viewed and winners chosen by your peers (the other competing directors, including yourself as director). The three winning films (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will receive cash prizes (the amounts will be determined by the number of competitors). Winning films will also be submitted into 2003's Eclipse Film Festival. All groups will meet at the Tower Theater in Salt Lake City at 7:00 am, Saturday September 20th. Filmmakers can sign up at the competition, but should send an e-mail to guerilla@eclipsefilmfest.com stating that you are going to attend.
