Entry Forms
DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES: September 30th, 2001 for early submission. October 15th, 2001 for late submission. All entries must submitted on VHS to be viewed for acceptance into the festival. Please send a copy, do not send your original work.
No entries will be accepted if postmarked later than October 15th.
Categories
The Eclipse Film Festival will consist of short independent films and short documentaries until there becomes a greater demand for feature length films. The following is a list of this year's categories:
Shorts: A competition of independent short films no longer than 25 minutes in length. (Film,
Digital Video, Video, or Animation)
Documentaries: A competition of independent short documentaries no longer than 30 min-
utes in length. (Film, Digital Video, or Video)
Features: For the time being there is no Feature Film category planned for this year's festival.
However, if there are enough responses and enough requests for feature film submission,
a Feature Film category will be opened. E-mail us to request submission of your Feature
Film into this year's festival.
Premieres: Feature Films made by high profile directors in the independent film industry.
These films will be shown at this year's festival by invitation only.
Eclipse Film Festival - Requirements for Submission
Format: All films must be submitted on a 1/2" VHS videotape. All entries and materials sent to the Eclipse Film Festival will not be returned. Please send a copy of your film and not your original work.
Language: All films must be in English or with English subtitles.
Running Time: Aside from a few featured premieres, this year's festival will consist of short films and short documentaries only. No short films over 25 minutes in length will be accepted. No documentaries over 30 minutes will accepted. (Unless a Feature Film category opens)
Complete Submission Package: All films submitted must include the following items. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Please include:
Official Eclipse Film Festival Entry Form
A Film Still: Black and White or Color; a still from a scene in the film.
Synopsis: A typed description of the film and a description any interesting events involved
in the process of making the film. No more than 250 words please.
Credit List: A complete list of credits of those involved in the film. List cast and crew.
Entry Fee: For short films and short documentaries, $15 for the early submission before
Sepember 30th, and $20 for late submissions after September 30th and before October 15th.
For Feature Films, $25 for early submission and $35 for late submissions.

No entries will be accepted if postmarked later than October 16th.
Shipping and Return: All entries must be shipped in standard cases or appropriate mail containers. Due to the number of entries, tapes cannot be returned, so once again, please send a copy.

Announcement of the Accepted Films: All films accepted in to the festival will be notified by a mailed notice. The accepted films will also be announced on the festival website on October 20th, 2000.
If your film is accepted, you will be responsible for promoting your film with fliers, posters, movie previews, etc. You will also be expected to provide the Eclipse Film Festival with the following:
Completed version of the film in it's presentable format by November 1st, 2000.
Black and white photographs of the film.
Posters.
The photographs and one poster will be needed by the festival to promote your film. All other promotions and advertising is up to you.
